Maxim Tyagly is a senior finance and business executive with broad cross-sector experience spanning banking, hospitality, education, real estate development, commercial property operations, and technology-driven ventures. Over the course of his career, he has combined financial leadership, operational oversight, and strategic business development across both established organizations and entrepreneurial environments.
A significant part of his professional background has been shaped in the Balkans and the wider Southeast European region, where he has developed a strong understanding of local business practices, investor expectations, ownership structures, and the practical realities of doing business in the region. He has substantial experience working with investors and shareholders with different approaches and priorities, while maintaining disciplined stewardship of capital and aligning operational execution with long-term strategic objectives.
Maxim’s background includes senior roles in the banking sector, where he was responsible for financial planning, budgeting, strategic development, and institutional growth, as well as executive positions in hospitality and real estate-related businesses. He has worked on investment-intensive projects involving luxury real estate, mixed-use developments, shopping mall construction and operations, and commercial asset management, which has given him a well-rounded perspective across the full investment and operational lifecycle.
Beyond traditional corporate roles, Maxim has also been involved in the development of socially meaningful and innovation-driven initiatives, including healthcare-related projects and founder-led ventures. He has supported entrepreneurs through mentoring and practical business guidance, including the development of commercial and e-commerce concepts, with a focus on business model sustainability, financial discipline, and scalable growth.
He is recognised for his hands-on leadership style, strategic mindset, and ability to operate effectively in complex and high-pressure environments. His strengths include crisis management, restructuring, capital planning, performance improvement, and the design of management systems that bring accountability, clarity, and execution discipline.
Currently, Maxim serves as Group CFO with COO-level responsibilities for an international portfolio of businesses. In this role, he leads financial strategy, operational finance, business planning, liquidity oversight, and performance management, while working closely with shareholders and executive teams on capital allocation, governance, organizational development, and the implementation of scalable operating frameworks that support sustainable growth.
