Valon is Head of Internal Audit at Sava Pension Company, where he leads the internal audit function and provides independent, risk-based assurance to senior management and the Board on the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance.
His role includes oversight of audit planning, execution of complex audits, and advisory support on risk mitigation and organizational resilience.
With more than 18 years of professional experience in audit, Valon has built a strong career across both internal and external audit, including experience in Big Four environments. He possesses comprehensive expertise across audit, finance, and accounting disciplines, including financial statement audits, internal control assessments, and advisory engagements, as well as audits of EU-financed projects, ensuring compliance with donor requirements, eligibility rules, and reporting standards.
Valon is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), holds the Chartered Accountant designation, and is a Certified Auditor in North Macedonia, reflecting his commitment to the highest professional and ethical standards.
In addition to his executive responsibilities, he serves as a Board Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) North Macedonia, contributing to the development of the internal audit profession through education, training initiatives, and knowledge sharing.
He is recognized for his structured and analytical approach, combining technical expertise with strategic insight. Valon maintains an active regional network and is engaged in initiatives that support cross-border collaboration, institutional development, and the advancement of corporate governance.
