Alban Zusi is the founder and President of AZ Group shpk, and a former Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Albania, with over three decades of experience at the intersection of public-sector reform, economic development, and industrial leadership. He is recognized for combining strategic, macro-level thinking with hands-on sector expertise, advocating for export-led growth, stronger industrial competitiveness, and policy discipline that improves the business environment for manufacturers.
He has contributed to national policy dialogue and reform across food safety and quality infrastructure, export promotion, industrial and agricultural policy, and wider competitiveness priorities—helping shape practical, pro-manufacturing frameworks that support investment, stability, and growth.
In parallel, he has built AZ Group into one of the region’s most innovative circular bio-economy platforms, transforming animal-based raw materials into high-value natural ingredients serving the food, agri-feed, pet food, pharmaceuticals, biotech, and energy value chains.
